Mrs. Lloyd’s Kindergarten class is learning about characters and setting. The class read a story about naming a new puppy Sunny. The students used a graphic organizer to illustrate the character and setting of the story. Great job, Mrs. Lloyd’s class!

During small groups, Mrs. Harvey and her second-grade students have been working on text organization and why authors write texts in chronological order. They've been reading an informational text about the life cycle of a frog. After they finished the book, the students made hats representing the correct order of events of a frog’s life cycle.

Attention Camden Families: There is an increased presence of law enforcement at our schools as a precautionary measure. If you notice more officers on campus, please know that this does not necessarily indicate a problem. Our top priority is the safety and well-being of our students and staff. Rest assured, we will always communicate promptly if there is ever a threat to our school community. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Our second-graders have been learning about the content area word, matter, which is comprised of solids, gases, and liquids. They read an informational text about the many kinds of matter and learned the meaning of those words through the text. After reading the story, the students worked together to sort out and identify different pictures of solids, gases, and liquids.

Mrs. Hogue's first-grade students went on a hunt around the classroom for words during a "Write the Room" activity. Their glasses and fancy pens helped them find and write a variety of words during this fun center.

📚✨ Problem Solving in Camden County Schools: A Step-by-Step Guide! 🌟 At Camden County Schools, we believe in addressing issues promptly and effectively. Here's the process to ensure your concerns are heard and resolved: 🔹 Step 1: Teacher/Staff Member Closest to the Situation Start by discussing the issue with the teacher or staff member who is directly involved. They are often the best equipped to provide immediate solutions or clarifications. 🔹 Step 2: School Administrator/Division Supervisor If the problem isn't resolved, the next step is to contact the school administrator or division supervisor. They can offer additional support and resources to help address the concern. 🔹 Step 3: Central Office Administrator Should the issue persist, reach out to a central office administrator. They have a broader perspective and can coordinate with various departments to find a resolution. 🔹 Step 4: Superintendent For more complex issues, the Superintendent is available to provide higher-level intervention and ensure that all policies and procedures are being followed. 🔹 Step 5: Board of Education As a last resort, you can bring the concern to the Board of Education. They oversee the entire school district and can make decisions on policy changes or other significant actions. We are committed to creating a positive and supportive environment for our students, staff, and community. Your voice matters, and we're here to help every step of the way! 💬🤝 #BElieveinCAMDEN #WeAreCamden #ProblemSolving #CommunitySupport #YourVoiceMatters

Today, we honor the memory of the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11th, 2001. We remember the bravery of the first responders, the resilience of the survivors, and the strength of a nation united in the face of tragedy. Let us take a moment to reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering spirit that define us. May we continue to support one another, cherish our freedoms, and work towards a future of peace and unity. #PatriotDay #NeverForget #UnitedWeStand
