Title I meeting

Important AnnouncementDaily Dismissal of Elementary Students
Consistency is crucial for a smooth dismissal of students from the school building each day.  In the event of an emergency change in student transportation, the request must be made in writing and must be received by school office personnel by no later than 2:45 p.m.
Dismissal times for all students are:
3:15 p.m.             Walkers and Car Riders
3:30 p.m.             Bus Riders
These dismissal times are a slight change from last year---PLEASE Be Patient with us until we establish this new routine.  Adjustments to times may be required.
Important Reminders
Walkers:         Dismiss at 3:15.  A teacher will walk them to the end of the sidewalk (at bus port) to meet parents.
Car Riders:     Remain in your car. Please have car tag displayed in the car on the right hand side.
Follow the designated route.  Do not cut off other cars in the line.
Pull up or move forward as directed or as the line moves.
Avoid motioning to your child to come to your car.

Bus Riders:     Remind students to use normal speaking voices while on the bus, to remain seated at all times, and to keep hands and feet to themselves at all times.  Riders may be suspended or permanently removed from the bus if inappropriate behaviors occur.

he Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in coordination with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), has delayed the nationwide test of the nationwide test of the Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS) to the backup date of October 3, 2018 due to ongoing response efforts to Hurricane Florence. FEMA will conduct an emergency test of IPAWS with a nationwide test text message being sent to all mobile phones at 2:18 p.m. and a radio and television alert being sent out at 2:20 p.m.

Remember, this is only a test of the system. In an actual national emergency, the message would include response instructions. We are sharing links to the FEMA IPAWS Fact Sheet flyer in English and Spanish.
