About Us

Sugarmill Elementary
Welcome to Sugarmill Elementary
Home of the Eagles!

Dear Parents and Families,

I would like to wish you all the very best for the summer vacation and look forward to welcoming you all back, refreshed, for what will be an exciting, new academic year.

Our students at SES have enjoyed another fabulous year. They have excelled in so many areas it is impossible to list them all. I have attended many celebration events and have listened in awe as their achievements have been described. Congratulations SUGARMILL EAGLES!! YOU are the BEST!!!

Summer activities provide valuable experiences in which children learn about themselves and the world around them.  Good physical exercise (and work) helps to stimulate the mind and encourages good thinking and strategy skills.  PLAY HARD AND WORK HARD!!!

The reading growth at SES has been remarkable this year.  Please continue to encourage your child to read.  I encourage you to make sure that your child’s day includes time that is set aside for independent reading. Reading is a “sport” with a 12-month season, so please ensure that your child makes it to “practice” every day.

Benefits of reading

I would like to thank you for supporting your child this year. Your efforts are greatly appreciated!

Have a wonderful summer!  REST! RELAX! & REJUVINATE ---School Year 2018-2019 is just around the corner.

Best Regards,

Mrs. Slattery
